On October 23, 2025, at the Municipal Cultural Center in Bydgoszcz, we launched the 14th edition of the FONOMO Music & Film Festival. From the very first evening, the festival attracted fans of independent cinema, experimental sound, and contemporary art.
The night opened with a screening of “The Stupidest Album in the World” directed by Konrad Kulczyński and Jakub Knera — a documentary about the legendary band KURY and their groundbreaking album. After the screening, an engaging conversation took place featuring Jakub Knera, Sławek Janicki, and Szymon Szwarc, moderated by Dariusz Brzostek. The discussion was filled with memories, insights, and musical anecdotes.
The evening closed with the film “It’s Only Rock” directed by Paweł Karpiński — a high-energy story about music, passion, and the rock subculture. The screening featured an original audio description created by Dorota Masłowska, enhancing the experience for visually impaired viewers.
Every film screening at FONOMO 2025 was introduced by Patrycja Mucha — a respected film critic and humanities scholar, whose insightful introductions enriched the audience’s engagement with each work.
