About the Festival

The first edition of Fonomo Music & Film Festival took place in 2012 in Bydgoszcz. Fonomo is a festival where we seek unconventional connections between film and music, image and sound. We are fascinated by diversity, eclecticism, and interdisciplinary approaches to art that spark curiosity and encourage the discovery of new forms of expression.

Each year, we carefully curate our program, presenting films and inviting artists who bring a unique perspective that fosters close engagement with the work.

We aim to inspire, to give courage to venture into the unknown, to discover new, undiscovered artistic spaces. Our goal is to ignite curiosity about the world through art, image, and sound, and to help in discovering oneself and understanding our relationships with the surrounding world.

Each edition, besides concerts and film screenings, offers our audience the opportunity for personal development through participation in workshops, debates, and discussion panels on topics we consider important and current.
