Krenz – Bass Intensity

Krenz is often called “the bass man”. On one hand, this perfectly describes the Warsaw artist’s music; on the other, it’s far too simplistic to encompass the full spectrum of his interests.

Global Sound, Local Flavor
Born in 1997, the producer is equally fascinated by the UK club scene and American hip-hop, yet his work contains far more varied influences and references. You can hear jungle, dubstep, breakcore, or illbient, while trap blends with rave and techno. But Krenz doesn’t simply copy tried-and-true formulas from the British Isles. He infuses his interpretation of UK bass with a hefty dose of Polish, streetwise grit, giving his music a distinctive local color while retaining universal appeal.

Hip-Hop and Experimentation
The hip-hop DNA of the Warsaw producer’s music is confirmed by numerous collaborations with the top names in Polish experimental rap. Krenz has worked with Tonfa, 1988, DJ Zeten, and scolp333ndra.

His discography so far includes four releases: on his 2020 debut album My New Ringtone, Krenz explored techno with deconstructionist zeal, while subsequent records Krenz Reborn and Boże, daj mi break saw him increasingly experimenting with different styles and breaking genre conventions with relentless intensity. His latest work, Polski Sklep, released in June 2025, bombards the listener with a body-and-soul-drilling beat, backed by speaker-shredding bass and uncompromising rap.

Krenz thrives both in the studio and on stage. He has brought his sets and live acts to festivals such as Unsound, Tauron Nowa Muzyka, and Up To Date, each time earning enthusiastic praise from fans and critics alike.
